With over 20 years under its belt, the company Les Fées Railleuses has come a long way.

Starting out in Lille, it settled in 2016 in Plougrescant, Brittany. Of course, it took many detours along the way to bring its shows all over France and abroad… and it fully intends to keep going! On the road, circus artist and actress Céline Valette has met many multidisciplinary artists whose influence now gives the company its distinctive identity.

In a few words, what brings us together and defines us:

Circus — not confined to a single discipline, but embracing the entire body as a field of experimentation. Contortion, stilts, aerial techniques, clowning, dance… With every new theme, we find new ways to express it physically.

Theatre — to give even more depth to the topics we choose and broaden the emotional spectrum. To seek out poetry, whether nestled in the absurd, boldly burlesque, or dreamlike and suspended.

What tells our story:

• Around ten creations, ranging from very young audiences to family shows, from indoor stages to the street, and from circus tents to water-based performances

• Tailor-made performances (museums, forums, unusual venues...)

• Roaming performances

• Outreach projects, community-based initiatives, and social circus programs

Creating connection through the shared values of circus, through inclusion and transmission. Letting ourselves be enriched by vulnerability — an inexhaustible source of creativity.
